Uganda 2012

We want to welcome back Dr. Liz Hoffmann from another successful mission trip to Uganda, Africa.  She spent 6 weeks in September and October travelling through Uganda with the Christian Veterinary Mission program.  Her group performed over 100 spays and neuters on dogs and cats in different villages.  They also lectured to students at the Veterinary Program of Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda on topics including intestinal surgery, spaying/neutering pets, baldder stone removal, and feline restraint.  The rest of their time was spent on village outreach programs, tending to the health needs of cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

The trip wasn’t all business though.  Dr. Hoffmann managed to squeeze in a 5-day safari trip and a 2-day float through whitewater on the Nile River.  Dr. Hoffmann has some great stories about the people of Uganda and the Mission Program itself, so don’t hesitate to ask next time you see her.
